Jan Vokaty is a lifelong outdoor sports enthusiast, alpine ski coach, skier, sea kayaking guide and freelance photographer based in Jindabyne, Australia. Jan combines his experience working as a Ski coach, Outdoor guide and Sea Kayaking guide with his passion for photography and capturing unique moments and memories. Jan started his photography journey in 90's using SLR camera and black & white film. Shortly after switching to Digital camera in 2004 he started using his new camera as a teaching and coaching tool during his work as an alpine ski coach and ski instructor at Cardrona Alpine Resort (NZ) and while working as an alpine race coach with Mammoth Mountain Ski Team (USA). He has been photographing skiing, ski racing, snowboarding and other snow sports events in the USA, New Zealand, Japan and Australia since 2005 but he also enjoys photographing landscapes, nature and wildlife during his travels through Australia and other countries. When the snow melts you will find Jan documenting his camping, hiking and sea kayaking adventures. His collection of images also covers National Parks and other beautiful places of Australia, New Zealand, USA, Europe and Japan.
